When you've been praying and the silence is the only thing that answers back.

When you've been praying and the silence is the only thing that answers back.

A 7-day Bible study for anyone walking through a season where God feels far away, your questions feel too big, and easy answers aren't cutting it anymore.

Welcome

Maybe you've been in a season where you're doing everything right and nothing seems to be moving. You're praying. You're reading. You're showing up. And God feels quiet.

Or maybe something happened, something hard, something you didn't see coming, and now you're sitting with a question you don't know how to ask out loud: God, where are you in this?

That's not a faithless question. That's an honest one. And there's an entire book of the Bible written by someone who asked it first.

His name is Habakkuk. And he was furious.

Habakkuk wasn't polite about it.

He didn't clean up his complaints before bringing them to God. He went straight to Him with the whole mess: the confusion, the injustice, the silence, the fear. He basically said, "God, how long? Why aren't you doing anything? And when you do finally answer, how does that answer even make sense?"

Sound familiar?

What makes this book different from most of the Bible is that Habakkuk doesn't get a resolution. He doesn't get the storm to calm or the situation to change. What he gets is something slower, and something deeper. His heart gets reordered. His eyes get lifted. And by the end, he makes one of the most breathtaking declarations in all of Scripture, not because everything is fine, but because he found something in God that goes deeper than his circumstances.

That movement from panic to peace, from lament to trust, from anxious to anchored, that's what this study is built around.

What's Inside

This isn't a quick devotional you skim over coffee. It's a real study. Seven days, three chapters, and enough space to actually sit with the hard stuff.

Each day includes:

A CONTEXT SECTION that gives you the historical and theological background you need to understand what Habakkuk is actually saying. Not just a summary of what you already read. Real context that opens the text up.

AN ANCHOR VERSE to carry with you through the day. One verse. Memorable. Portable.

A THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION that goes deeper into what the passage teaches about who God is. The theology here is serious and Reformed, meaning it doesn't flinch from the hard questions about sovereignty, suffering, and grace. It just answers them honestly.

FOUR REFLECTION QUESTIONS per day that are specific to that passage. These aren't the same generic questions repeated seven times. Each set was written for that day's text, and they're designed to push past surface answers.

A DAILY PRACTICE: one hands-on exercise that moves the text from your head into your actual life. Things like writing a lament prayer, building an Ebenezer list of where God has shown up, a silence fast, and more.

And the whole study builds on itself. What you do on Day 1, you come back to on Day 7. The arc is intentional.

The Seven Days

Day 1: God, Are You Even Listening? (Habakkuk 1:1-11)

Day 2: But God, That Doesn't Make Sense (Habakkuk 1:12-2:1)

Day 3: Write Down What You're Waiting For (Habakkuk 2:2-14)

Day 4: God Is Still on the Throne (Habakkuk 2:15-20)

Day 5: Remember What God Has Done (Habakkuk 3:1-15)

Day 6: Yet I Will Rejoice (Habakkuk 3:16-19)

Day 7: The Whole Story (Habakkuk 1-3)

Who This Is For

This study was made for you if:

You're in a season where God feels distant and you don't know what to do with that.

You're carrying grief, fear, or confusion that you haven't been able to bring fully to God yet.

You're tired of Christian content that gives you easy answers to hard questions.

You want to go deeper in Scripture but you need someone to walk through it with you.

You've felt like your doubts disqualify you from faith, and you need to see that they don't.

Habakkuk was a prophet. He asked the hardest questions. And God didn't strike him down for it. He answered him. This study will show you what that answer looks like, and why it's still the answer you need today.

Why Habakkuk?

I work with students every day. I watch them carry anxiety, confusion, and questions they don't know what to do with. And the thing I keep coming back to is this: most of them don't need fewer questions. They need a God who is big enough to hold them.

Habakkuk is the book I come back to for that. I built this study because I wanted something I could put in someone's hands and say: start here. Be honest. Stay in it. Watch what happens.

That's what this is. I hope it meets you exactly where you are.

About Me

About Me

My name is Brandon, and I've been a high school teacher in a Christian school for a decade. Every day I walk alongside anxious students who are struggling to simply get through each class period, let alone a full day. It's astounding how prevalent anxiety is in our world today. They were often doubting their faith and didn't know where to go with their questions.

So I decided to do something about it.

I started creating Scripture-Based Resources for anyone dealing with Anxiety, Over-thinking, and doubt.

My goal is to help people discover the lasting peace that can only come from God Alone.

God Bless You All!
